After his 5 year enlistment spent as a special forces Naval Air Crewman/ Rescue Swimmer, this country boy from the Big Sky of Montana came to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams of acting. Blauer first hit the Hollywood radar when he became runner up as finalists in the Oxygen Network series, Mr. Romance, produced by legendary KISS Front Man, Gene Simmons. Simmons told Bruce that he not only had the looks but also the talent to make it to the very top. And the top is exactly where Blauer is headed. Often compared to a young Viggo Mortenson, Bruce Blauer, a UCLA Theater Film and Television alum and classically trained Shakespearean actor, has been knocking on doors and they are starting to open wide. He recently put his thespian chops to work playing the famous Shakespearean actor/assassin of President Lincoln as John Wilkes Booth. He is currently starring as the Series- Regular Lead on TV series, California Heaven produced by Stewdiomedia, the pioneers of cross platform entertainment media for broadband, and wireless, which is now syndicated in Japan. Playing the deeply troubled James Corrigan, Blauer has been heralded as the Heart and Soul of the series California Heaven. The New York Times, Soap Net press describes the series experience, like falling down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland. Blauer, has also been making waves on the major networks, including CBS, ABC, and NBC. Most recently co-starring on CBS Close To Home. On the big screen, he will next be starring alongside such names as Ed Asner, Dick Van Patton, and Baywatchs, Michael Bergin in the feature film Once in a Lifetime. Look for his performance already receiving a BRILLIANT in the Newport Film Festival Official selection, The Conrad Boys. What€™s next, a solid performance in an art house independent film with grit, The Sound of Silence. Blauer delves deep in this emotionally and psychologically powerful story. Blauer resides in Studio City, California, where he truly lives out the California dream, riding his motorcycle, playing guitar, painting, and enjoying the ocean and mountains
