I don't like to call myself a "professional" photographer because I work a normal job and find photography to be my relaxation. I began photographing women about 7 years ago, thanks in part to noticing beautiful women coming out of my neighbors apartment once a month. Come to find out he and some photog friends would hire a model once a month and get together for a group shoot. So I did that for a couple months and enjoyed it, but it wasn't "my own". Shortly after my learning some I came across a Fitness America Pageant on ESPN and all these fit & beautiful women, so I got on the internet to learn more about it. A couple months later I was sneaking into the press area for my first show and fell in love with 119 fit girls on stage and had found my calling. Unfortunately for me, at this time I was very introverted :( After going to this show for 3 years I finally started to come out of my shell as I met one of the competitors and we became good friends. She was the one who gave me my push to actually strive to get out there and get published. My first year of actually submitting photos to magazines was quite a dissappointing year as I didn't make any sales and got constant rejection "excuses". Not one to give up so easily, I continued my passion and finally sold some pictures, but then the wait for them to actually be published. Here it is now some 5 years later and I'm going strong with shooting every possible weekend and getting published on a regular basis. Although I enjoy helping models get published and photography, I'm finding myself wanting to shoot much less throughout the course of the year. There is nothing worse then when a model travels to me only to have no beach weather to shoot, so I've made a decision to just shoot through the summer months and hopefully come up with new ideas and locations in my down time.
